Polish 6-year family ROS savings bonds: rates, interest, early redemption

Bonds for 6 years with a rate linked to inflation. Interest is added to the capital every year and paid out at maturity.

Family bonds: only for people entitled to the child benefit (świadczenie wychowawcze).

When the interest arrives

  1. 1After year 1: 5.00 zł of interest per bond added to the capital.
  2. 2In later years interest is computed on the amount with the interest added, at the rate announced before the year begins (inflation + 2.00 pp).
  3. 3After year 6: 100.00 zł per bond paid out with all the interest.

The bond matures on the same day of the month as the purchase, after 6 years.

Early redemption

  • The order can be placed 7 days after the purchase, and no later than 20 days before maturity.
  • Interest runs for 5 business days after the order, and the money arrives the business day after.
  • The fee is 2.00 zł per bond, at most the interest accrued: you never get less than 100.00 zł.
