Terms of service of broksy.eu

Rules of using the site, the scope of its services, the informational nature of its content and how to complain.

Version 1.0.0, in force from 3 October 2026

Service provider

The broksy.eu website (the "Site") is operated by its owner (the "Provider").

Contact with the Provider: hello@broksy.eu.

These terms set out the types and scope of services provided electronically, the conditions of providing them, the conditions of entering into and terminating agreements for those services, and the complaints procedure. The terms are available free of charge in a form that lets you obtain, reproduce and store them.

What the Site is

The Site compares the services of brokerage houses and other institutions offering investment accounts in Poland ("brokers"). It calculates what using a given account costs under stated assumptions and shows the source and verification date of every figure.

The Provider provides the following services electronically:

  • access to the Site's content, including rankings, broker profiles, calculators and the methodology;
  • the newsletter, an e-mail digest of changes in broker fees and in the Site;
  • the form for reporting errors in the data;
  • an account with investment portfolios you keep yourself, with the option to publish a portfolio and take part in the portfolio ranking.

Using the Site is free of charge. The agreement for access to the content is concluded when you enter the Site and ends when you leave it. The newsletter agreement is concluded when you confirm your subscription and ends when you unsubscribe.

Informational nature

The Site is informational and educational only. Its content, including rankings, calculator results and comparisons, is not an investment recommendation, investment advice, legal advice or tax advice within the meaning of the law.

The Site compares the services of brokers and calculates costs from the parameters you enter. It does not assess financial instruments, does not say what to buy or sell, and does not take your individual situation into account.

You choose a broker and make investment decisions on your own and at your own risk. Before opening an account, check the broker's current fee schedule and terms.

The Provider is not an investment firm, holds no KNF licence and conducts no brokerage activity. Details are in the Disclaimer.

Data and how current it is

The data on the Site comes from brokers' public documents (fee schedules, terms, websites), from public registers and from the Provider's own tests. Every figure carries its source and verification date.

Brokers change their fees. A figure not re-checked within 90 days is marked as needing re-verification. A figure that could not be confirmed is marked as unverified or shown as missing, never as zero.

How costs and scores are calculated is described in the Methodology. Changes to the methodology are versioned and published in its history of changes.

Partner links and advertising

Some links to brokers' websites are partner links: if you open an account through such a link, the Provider may receive a fee from the broker. Every such link is clearly labelled as a partner link.

Fees from brokers do not affect the order in rankings, the scores, the calculated costs or which data is shown. Advertisements, where present, are labelled "Reklama" and are never part of ranking results.

Conditions of use

Using the Site requires a device with internet access and a current web browser with JavaScript enabled. The newsletter additionally requires a working e-mail address.

You may not supply unlawful content, in particular through the Site's forms, or act in a way that disrupts the Site, bypasses its safeguards or overloads it.

The Site's content is protected by copyright. Brokers' names and logos belong to their owners and are used only for identification. Using the Site's data beyond personal use requires the Provider's consent or takes place under the licence stated with the open data.

Newsletter

Subscribing to the newsletter requires an e-mail address and confirming the subscription by clicking the link in the confirmation message. Without confirmation the Provider sends nothing.

You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in every message. Unsubscribing terminates the agreement for this service. How the e-mail address is processed is described in the Privacy policy.

Account

An account lets you keep your own investment portfolios on the Site. The account is free of charge and requires an active e-mail address and a browser that accepts cookies.

The account has no password. To log in, the Provider sends a single-use link to the address you give, valid for 15 minutes and working only in the browser in which it was requested. The account is created, and the agreement for keeping it concluded, when such a link is used for the first time. The agreement ends when the account is deleted.

One person may have one account and uses it only personally. You do not pass login links or access to the account to anyone. If you suspect that someone else has gained access to the account, log out on all devices in the account profile and write to hello@broksy.eu.

Portfolios

A portfolio holds data you enter yourself: buys and sales of instruments from the Site's catalogue (date, number of units, optionally price and fee), cash deposits and withdrawals (amount, currency, date) and currency exchanges (amounts, currencies, date, optionally fee), as well as the portfolio's name, goal and brokers. The Site does not connect to broker accounts and does not check whether the trades entered were actually made. You are responsible for the content of the data you enter.

The Site calculates a portfolio's value and result from session closing prices obtained from a market data provider and from NBP average exchange rates. The calculations are for information only, may differ from the broker's valuation and are not an investment recommendation or tax advice.

Trades entered with a past date and price form the declared history, which the Site shows as the author's own information. The verified result counts from the moment a trade is recorded on the Site: each trade is settled at the first closing price after the day it was recorded. Only verified results are compared in the ranking.

A recorded trade cannot be changed. A wrong trade can be withdrawn and entered again; a withdrawn trade stays in the portfolio's history, marked as such. A portfolio cannot be deleted on its own: it can be moved to the archive, and it is deleted together with the account.

Handle

The handle is the user's public name and part of the address of their portfolio's page. It is needed to publish a portfolio.

A handle must not mislead about the user's identity; in particular, it must not pose as another person, a broker, a financial institution or the Site. The names of brokers and of the Site are reserved and cannot be used as a handle. A handle must not infringe the law, personal rights or common decency.

The handle can be changed once every 30 days. The previous handle, also after the account is deleted, stays reserved for 90 days: during that time no one can take it, its former user included.

Profile photo

You can add a profile photo. Others see it only next to a published portfolio.

You may add only a photo you have the rights to: your own or one used under a licence and, if it shows other people, with their consent. The photo must not contain unlawful, offensive or promotional content, including logos of brokers, financial institutions and other brands.

By adding a photo, you allow the Provider to display it on the Site next to your handle and portfolio until you remove it or delete the account.

Publishing a portfolio

You can have up to 3 published portfolios at a time. Publishing requires a handle, at least one trade in the portfolio and your confirmation that you know the rules in this section.

A published portfolio is visible to every visitor of the Site: the handle, photo, the portfolio's name, goal and brokers, its composition in per cent, its result and its trade history. Amounts in złoty are visible only if you turn them on. The Site shows your e-mail address and your other portfolios to no one.

While a portfolio is published, corrections to its trades are visible: a withdrawn trade stays in the history, marked as such. You can withdraw the portfolio from publication at any time: the portfolio, your handle and your photo then disappear from public pages. The withdrawn portfolio's result stays, without your handle or its name, in the ranking of the month already under way, so that withdrawing doesn't move other participants' places. Deleting your account erases the portfolio and its history.

Portfolio ranking

The portfolio ranking shows results achieved by the users themselves, calculated from verified results under the rules published on the Site. The order follows from those rules alone. Pages of the portfolio ranking and of public portfolios carry no advertising and no partner links.

The ranking and other users' portfolios are not an investment recommendation or an encouragement to copy trades. Past results do not guarantee similar results in the future. The Provider does not check whether portfolios correspond to users' real accounts.

Breaches of the rules

The Provider may remove a photo or a handle that breaches these terms or the law. The Provider informs you of the removal and its reason at your account's e-mail address.

A breach can be reported through the error report form or at hello@broksy.eu. At the same address, you can appeal against a removal decision.

Deleting the account

You can delete the account at any time in the account profile. Deletion cannot be undone: the account, profile, photo and all portfolios with their trade history disappear, and the handle also disappears from archived rankings. The handle stays reserved for 90 days.

Before deleting the account, you can download your data as a file in the account profile. Deleting the account does not unsubscribe you from the newsletter.

Reporting errors and the right to correction

Anyone can report an error in the data through the form on the Site or at hello@broksy.eu. A report is checked against the source, and a confirmed correction is published with a new verification date.

A broker whose data is concerned may request a correction, stating the source. The Provider answers within 14 days of receiving the request.

Liability

The Provider takes care that the data is true and current but does not guarantee its completeness, currency or fitness for a particular purpose. Only the broker's documents are binding.

To the extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for decisions made on the basis of the Site's content or for damage resulting from interruptions of the Site. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights under mandatory provisions of law.

Complaints

Complaints about the Site's services may be sent to hello@broksy.eu. A complaint should describe the problem and give contact details. The Provider answers within 14 days of receiving the complaint.

A consumer may use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures on the terms set out in the law.

Artificial intelligence tools and language versions

The Provider uses artificial intelligence tools when drafting texts and translations. Every published text is reviewed by a person before publication. Figures are not generated by artificial intelligence; they come from the stated sources.

The Site is available in several languages. The binding version of these terms and of the other legal documents is the Polish one.

Changes to the terms

The Provider may change these terms, in particular when the law, the scope of services or the way the Site works changes. Every change is published on the Site with a new version number and the date it applies from. The history of changes is at the bottom of this page.

This version of the terms (1.0.0) applies from 3 October 2026.

Governing law

Polish law applies to these terms. Disputes are resolved by the court competent under general rules. Matters not covered here are governed in particular by the Polish act on providing services by electronic means, the Civil Code and the act on consumer rights.

If language versions differ, the Polish version prevails.
