What cookies and browser storage are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Browser storage (local storage) works similarly but is not sent to the server with every request. broksy.eu uses both mechanisms in the very limited way described below.

We use no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking and no social media plugins.

Necessary storage, without consent

We store your analytics choice in browser storage under the name broksy_consent. It holds the decision, its date and the version of this policy. Without it we would have to ask for consent on every visit. The entry expires after 365 days or when this policy changes; then we ask again.

Visit statistics are counted with a tool that uses no cookies and no user identifier and shows only aggregate page view counts. Technical error reports use no cookies either.

Analytics, only after consent

After your consent we enable PostHog analytics with servers in the European Union. It stores a pseudonymous identifier in a cookie and records which pages you visit and which features you use, for example whether a calculator was used. We have disabled automatic event capture, session recording and surveys.

The analytics cookie name starts with ph_ and it is valid for 365 days. Analytics data is used only to improve the Site and is neither linked to an e-mail address nor passed to advertisers.

Without consent we do not load the analytics script and set no analytics cookie.

Consent and its withdrawal

On your first visit we show a banner with two equal buttons: consent to analytics and no consent. Not reacting to the banner means no consent. You can withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal stops analytics and removes its cookie from your browser.

How to change your choice

Use the "Cookie settings" button in the footer of every page to open the banner again and change your decision. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; then we ask again on your next visit.

Changes to this policy

Changes to this policy are published with a new version number and date; after a material change we ask for consent again. This version (1.0.0) applies from 28 September 2026. How personal data is processed is described in the Privacy policy.
