Polish 10-year EDO savings bonds: rates, interest, early redemption
Bonds for 10 years with a rate linked to inflation. Interest is added to the capital every year and paid out at maturity.

When the interest arrives
- 1After year 1: 5.35 zł of interest per bond added to the capital.
- 2In later years interest is computed on the amount with the interest added, at the rate announced before the year begins (inflation + 2.00 pp).
- 3After year 10: 100.00 zł per bond paid out with all the interest.
The bond matures on the same day of the month as the purchase, after 10 years.
Early redemption
- The order can be placed 7 days after the purchase, and no later than 20 days before maturity.
- Interest runs for 5 business days after the order, and the money arrives the business day after.
- The fee is 3.00 zł per bond, at most the interest accrued: you never get less than 100.00 zł.

When do 10-year EDO bonds pay interest?
At maturity, after 10 years. Until then interest is added to the capital every year, so each year's interest is computed on the amount with the earlier interest.
What does early redemption of 10-year EDO bonds cost?
In series EDO1036 the fee is 3.00 zł per bond, at most the interest accrued, so you never get less than 100.00 zł. The order can be placed 7 days after the purchase.
How does EDO differ from COI?
EDO runs for 10 years, interest at maturity, rate: 5.35% in the first year, then inflation + 2.00 pp. COI runs for 4 years, interest yearly to your account, rate: 4.75% in the first year, then inflation + 1.50 pp.
